Mind Maps Explained

For a basic mind map, start in the middle with your main idea.

On the mind map above, the main idea is to list tools we love on the Author Nation website.  From the centre, I created four branches: planning, producing, publishing and promoting. This is the same organization we use for all our resources. When creating content, we want to stay consistent so it is easy for our visitors to find what they need. Same goes for your books. For each of those category, I started adding tools. You can create as many branches and go as far as you want adding new ideas.

That is how you create a mind map. A mind map is a useful tool to visual complex information so we can organize for others.
